Early MAR 250s had either an IRZ or AMAL carburetor that mounted to a sleeve from a metal flange adapter. Later models had a sleeve on a spigot from the cylinder. The 350s all had a spigot from the cylinder. When ordering for the 250, choose the right mount for your bike. For the early MAR 250s the kit comes with a rubber flange adapter. For later models we provide a new sleeve for the manifold.
Both 250 and 350 kits include extra jets and an air box sleeve. We have found that the 250 engine in particular varies greatly when it comes to jetting and sometimes even carburetor size. We jet these kits as the majority of MARs have jetted. If the size or jetting is not right, let us know and we'll exchange what isn't correct with what is. The 26mm kits we use on both the 250 and 350 make a nice difference in throttle response and overall power.
We have 28mm kits for both the 250 and 350 Grippers. They come with a new sleeve for the manifold, an air box sleeve and extra jets for elevation changes and fine tuning.
Our Pioneer kit uses a 28mm OKO jetted for it. Bikes we have done have a flange from the cylinder and so the kit uses a flange adapter. Let us know if your manifold is different. It also comes with extra jets and an air box sleeve. It provides a noticeable difference in throttle response and power, especialy in the low and mid-ranges.
We offer two kits for the Super Pioneer 250. Our 30mm kit provides great low and mid-range power, while the 32mm kit offers better top end. Choose according to your riding needs. Both come with new manifold sleeves and extra jets. The 30mm air box hose should fit the OKO's intake. The 32mm kit may require a 2.5" ID sleeve for the air box. The 250 will require shortening the throttle cable free length, or you can purchase one of our Venhill Universal throttle cables
